This documentary explores the reign of King Felipe VI and the modern struggle to preserve the
Spanish monarchy in an era of political division, institutional distrust, and public scrutiny.

Following decades in which the Crown symbolized Spain’s democratic transition under King Juan
Carlos I, the monarchy entered one of the deepest crises in its modern history — shaken by
corruption scandals, economic turmoil, separatist tensions, and growing debate over its role in
contemporary Spain.

From Felipe’s carefully structured upbringing as heir to the throne, to his marriage to Letizia Ortiz,
the abdication of Juan Carlos I, the Catalan constitutional crisis, and the controversies surrounding
the former king, the film traces the transformation of the Spanish Crown during a defining period of
uncertainty.

At the center of the story stands a monarch shaped less by charisma than by discipline, institutional
duty, and the challenge of adaptation.
